Tractor Trailer Wreck Halts Traffic on I-526, I-26

Wreck closes part of I-526 toward Mount Pleasant.

A tractor trailer has wrecked on I-526 eastbound near the Virginia Avenue exit in North Charleston, closing down the road, ABC News 4 reported.

North Charleston Police are on the scene and diesel fuel is in the roadway.

ABC News 4 reported:

Drivers can exit at Rivers Ave or North Rhett but will not be able to use I-526 EB heading in to Mt. Pleasant until further notice. Traffic built up on I-526 from the accident site all the way to I-26, and onlooker delays clogged the westbound lanes of the Don Holt and other bridges.

Sharon, there are a lot of wrecks in this location. What would you suggest to improve the roadway? More traffic enforcement?
