Famed 80s icon will perform July 3 at North Charleston Coliseum Performing Arts Center.
Cyndi Lauper, the famed hits icon of the 1980s will take the stage on July 3 in North Charleston. This tour commemorates the 30th Anniversary of the release of Cyndi's iconic debut album She's So Unusual which spawned four Top-5 hits on the Billboard 100: “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night." She will perform the album in its entirety as part of the show. The North Charleston Arts Festival kicks into high gear Thursday before heading into the weekend finale. A full day of events begins at noon with the opening of the North Charleston Farmers Market in Park Circle, and a couple of blocks away on East Montague the Batik Art Show and Sale starts its final day at 1 p.m. The Joe Clark Trio is the first band to hit a stage at 1:30 for the Big Band and Jazz Standards concert. Head to the Gethsemane Community Center for the unveiling of a trio of mosaics at 4 p.m. with a live performance by Djolé African Dance and Drum Company.
